A Pre-Clinical MRI Solution to Quantitatively Map Gadolinium Nanoparticles for Radiotherapy Enhancement Studies
Résumé
Gadolinium nanoparticles (GdNPs) have been used in image-guided radiotherapy and as radiosensitisers in radiation therapy. To understand the full potential of the pre-clinical study of GdNPs in radiotherapy, accurate localisation and quantification of NP concentration are crucial. This research was carried out to optimise pre-clinical MRI imaging parameters and characterise MRI performance for the quantification of GdNP concentration that is currently under investigation for radiotherapy enhancement.
